Devprayag is a town and a nagar panchayat in Tehri Garhwal district in the state of Uttarakhand, India and is one of the Panch Prayag of Alaknanda River where Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet and take the name Ganga or Ganges River.

Devprayag is well connected by motorable roads with major destinations of Uttarakhand and northern states of India. Buses to Devprayag and Rishikesh are available from ISBT Kashmiri Gate at regular intervals. Buses and Taxis to Devprayag are easily available from major destinations of Uttarakhand like Dehradun, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Srinagar, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag etc. Devprayag lies on National Highway 58 making it easy and familiar to reach.

Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest Airport to Devprayag situated at a distance of 91 kms. Jolly Grant Airport is well connected to Delhi with daily flights. Devprayag is well connected by motorable roads with Jolly Grant Airport. Taxis are easily available to Devprayag from Jolly Grant.

The nearest railway station to Devprayag is situated in Rishikesh at a distance of 72 kms before Devprayag. Chandrabadani is a mountain on the border of tahsil Devaprayag and Pratapnagar is the well known temple of Chandrabadni Devi, lying at the top of the mountain about 10 km. north of Kandi Khal. The temple looms at a height of 2253 meters above sea level on Chandrabadni Mountain and is one of the renowned Sakti Peeth of Garhwal.  This holy shrine is devoted to Goddess Sati and it is said that Sati Devi torso fell at this same place.

Dashrathshila

Dashrathshila Temple is one of the popular ancient shrines of Devprayag that is located on the banks of the Shanta river, named after King Dashrath’s daughter. According to Hindu mythology, King Dashrath, father of the Hindu Lord Rama, performed penance here. Don't miss the seat of King Dashrath perched on a terrain called Dashrathachal Peak.

Dhari Devi temple located on the banks of the Alaknanda River between Srinagar and Rudraprayag in the Garhwal Region of Uttarakhand, India. The temple is home to the upper half of the idol of the goddess Dhari, while the lower half of the idol is located in Kalimath, where she is worshipped as a manifestation of the Goddess Kali. She is considered to be the guardian deity of Uttarakhand and is revered as the protector of the Char Dhams.

Overlooking the massive Tehri Lake and dam, the well-planned town draws tourists, who come here for its natural beauty and the opportunity to enjoy innumerable water sports in the lake. The dam is the highest of its kind in India and is regarded among the world's largest hydroelectric projects. It stands on the Bhagirathi river.

It is one of the oldest temples of Lord Rama situated in India as it is more than 10,000 years old. The temple is made up of huge rocks placed slightly above the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi Rivers. The special Aarti of the temple is sung on special occasions and even a non believer of god rhymes to its tune. The temple is visited by many devotees all around the year. The shrine of Rama was shattered by an earthquake in 1803 but was subsequently repaired by Daulat Rao Scindia.

The historic town of Srinagar is cradled on the pristine banks of Alaknanda River. It is seated at an average elevation of 560 metres above sea level. The pristine town of Srinagar is an important cultural and educational centre. It lies on the foothills of the Himalayas and is bestowed with the munificence of nature attracting tourists from everywhere. It is an important point of stay during Badrinath, Kedarnath and Char Dham Yatra.

Teen Dhara

Situated on the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway (NH 58) Teen Dhara is barely 10 km from Devprayag (towards Rishikesh). The place got its name from three small springs nearby. It has developed as a popular stoppage for travelers with a number of eateries (dhabas) serving delectable food amidst pictures surroundings.
