Overview

A stunning glacial lake, surrounded by Mt Thalaysagar, Mt Bhrigupanth, Manda Parvat, Mt Jogin and Mt Gangotri, Kedartal is one of the most beautiful high-altitude lakes (above 4,700 m) in Uttarakhand. Scenic beauty aside, Kedartal, named after Lord Shiva (Kedar is another name of the lord and tal means lake) is also popular for its trek. Thrill-seekers come from all over the world to take on this remote route and get up close and personal with the towering peaks. The trek, which begins and ends in the revered pilgrim town of Gangotri (one of the Char Dhams), is difficult and is best suited for seasoned trekkers. The trail is undoubtedly challenging but picturesque vistas of the bhoj forest and high-altitude meadows will keep you company on the way.

There are many variations of passages the majority have suffered in some injected humour or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable.
