Overview

Valley of Flowers National Park is an Indian national park located in West Himalaya, in the state of Uttarakhand and is known for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and the variety of flora. Bestowed with the rare and exotic Himalayan flora, the Valley of Flowers is a bouquet of nature peacefully snuggled in the West Himalayan region of Uttarakhand. The trek of Valley of flowers goes through dense forests, along with Pushpawati river and can be reached by crossing many bridges, glaciers and waterfalls on the way.

How to Reach Us

By Bus

Valley of Flowers is connected upto Pulna village (4 kms from Govindghat) with motorable roads and from here you have to commence trek of 13 kms to reach Valley of Flowers. Govindghat is well connected by motorable roads with major destinations of Uttarakhand state. Buses to Haridwar, Rishikesh and Srinagar are available from ISBT Kashmiri Gate. Buses and Taxis to Govindghat are easily available from major destinations of Uttarakhand state like Rishikesh, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Ukhimath, Srinagar, Chamoli etc. Govindghat is situated on National Highway 58 making it easy to reach.

By Air

Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest Airport to Valley of Flowers but the roads are only connected upto Govind Ghat from where you have to commence trek of 16 kms to reach Valley of Flowers. It is situated at a distance of 292 kms from Jolly Grant Airport and is well connected to Delhi with daily flights. Govindghat is well connected by motorable roads with Jolly Grant Airport. Taxis are easily available from Jolly Grant Airport to Govindghat.

By Rail

The nearest railway station to Valley of flowers is Rishikesh but the roads are only connected upto Govind Ghat from where you have to commence trek of 16 kms to reach Valley of Flowers. Rishikesh railway station is situated 273 kms before Govindghat on NH-58. Rishikesh is well connected by railway networks with major destinations of India. Trains to Rishikesh are frequent. Govindghat is well connected by motorable roads with Rishikesh. Taxis and buses are available from Rishikesh, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Joshimath and many other destinations to Govindghat.

Auli

Auli is a ski destination in Chamoli district in the Himalayan mountain of Uttarakhand. Auli is also known as Auli Bugyal in Garhwali, which means “meadow”. It is located at an elevation of 2,500 meters (8,200 ft) to 3,050 meters (10,010 ft) above sea level. Auli can be reached by road or ropeway from Joshimath. It provides an excellent panoramic view of the giant mountain peaks like Nanda Devi, Kamet and Dunagiri.

Badrinath is well-known in the famous Char Dhams of India. Badrinath Dham is a religious place where both Nar and Narayan meet. It is located at an elevation of 3,133mts above sea level in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. This Dham was established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 9th century. The deity of Badrinath temple is Lord Vishnu. The temple is situated on the right bank of the holy Alaknanda River.

Govindghat

Govindghat is a vital pilgrimage and trekking base in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, nestled at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Lakshman Ganga rivers, serving as the starting point for treks to Hemkund Sahib and the Valley of Flowers, known for its Sikh Gurudwara, pleasant climate from May-October, and stunning Himalayan scenery.

Gurso Bugyal

3 km trek from Auli will lead you to the picturesque Gurso Bugyal. Views of the imposing Himalayas like Nanda Devi, Trishul and Dron parvat are invigorating from Gurso Bugyal. Gurso Bugyal transforms to a green pastureland during spring season and wears sheets of snow during the winters. Perched at an elevation of 3,056 mts above sea level Gurso Bugyal has mixed forest of oak and conifer. Gurso bugyal is only 1.5 km from the last tower of Gondola ropeway.

Joshimath

Joshimath

Joshimath is one of the four ‘math’ created by Adi Shankaracharya. Joshimath is the home of Shri Badrinath during winters. Joshimath is connected with Auli by highest cable car of Asia. Joshimath is situated at an elevation of 1,890 mts above sea level. Do visit Kalpavriksha and Narsingh temple while a visit to Joshimath. It is situated 14 kms from Joshimath.

Mana

Mana

Mana is a last Indian village from the border of India and Tibet/China in the Himalayas. It is located in the district of Chamoli. It’s been designated as a “Tourism Village” by the Uttarakhand government. Mana village is one of best tourist attraction nearby to Badrinath, It's just 3 kms from Badrinath town. The village is on the banks of the River Saraswati. It is situated at a height of around 3219 meters. The village is surrounded by Himalayan hills.

Niti Valley is a remote Himalayan valley in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, near the India-China border. It is known for its scenic beauty, traditional villages, and historical significance as an ancient trade route. The valley is part of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, and it experiences harsh winters with heavy snowfall.

Pandukeshwar

Pandukeshwar

Pandukeshwar is a sacred place located in-route to abode of Lord Vishnu 'Badrinath' at an elevation of 1829 mtrs. At a distance of 18 km from Joshimath, Pandukeshwar, as per believe is the place where King Pandu, father of great Pandavas of Mahabharat epic, worshipped Lord Shiva. Yogadhyan Badri Temple, one of Sapta Badri or seven Badris and other is Lord Vasudev Temple.
